These 3 sessions courses (always on Thursdays) introduce teenagers to the fundamentals of pottery on the wheel in a relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on play and exploration. First, they learn throwing basic shapes, then we cover trimming, i.e. removing excess clay and finalizing the shape, and lastly, we will color the pieces with engobes. Possible pieces are cups, mugs, small bowls and vases, or plates.
The studio will glaze the pieces in the color of choice to render them food safe (can be picked up after 4 to 5 weeks).
This course can be repeated multiple times as the exact content can be adjusted to the young potters.
This is for children 11 years or older (exceptions on a case-by-case basis).
