This Easter break, your kids can deep dive into a multi-session ceramics class, totaling 4.5 hours!
We are excited to offer to different formats:
One class (week I) is designed to introduce or deepen hand building techniques: participants learn the basic techniques of hand building the pieces in two sessions, and the last session is reserved for painting their work with engobes. Spring is in the air, and we use that as inspiration to create decorated egg cups and Easter animals. After the class, the studio will glaze all pieces in transparent glaze which renders them food safe (can be picked up after 3 to 4 weeks).
The other class (week II) introduces children to wheel throwing, and teaches the fundamentals of pottery on the wheel in a playful way. Possible pieces are cups, mugs, small bowls or plates. We will trim and glaze the pieces in the color of choice to render them food safe (can be picked up after 4 to 5 weeks).
This is for children 6 years or older.
All materials and firing fees are included.
